OpenSSL

Before you can begin to install either OpenSSH or the Perl Net_SSLeay.pm module, you'll need to install OpenSSL. OpenSSL provides the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) libraries for the encryption process. Always make sure you get the latest package, and keep it up-to-date.

The OpenSSL package can be obtained from http://www.openssl.org/source/. Make sure you get the latest package, which will have [LATEST] next to its name.

In the United States, you'll need to get and compile the RSA's rsaref library. Fortunately, RSA's patent runs out in November 2000, so after that date you won't need it (unless RSA manages to have the patent extended).
