NetWare Client Utilities
This chapter reviews the client and administrative utilities for NetWare that are included with Linux, in particular those included with Caldera OpenLinux eDesktop 2.4. The utilities enable you to access and manage NetWare resources in a network environment where NetWare and Linux coexist. Utilities are available for both Bindery Services and Novell Directory Services (NDS) .
First you will learn about the utilities that enable client access to NetWare servers and NDS. Next you will learn about the NDS administrative utilities. Finally, you will learn about the Bindery-based administrative utilities. Figure 28.1 shows the sample NDS tree that is used in the examples throughout this chapter.
