Delivery Agents

The Delivery Agent is very similar to the user agent; it is merely a method of getting the actual message into the recipient's hands. For example, with conventional mail the recipient can walk out to the mailbox in his front yard or drive to the location of a post office box. Similarly, the recipient of email can use different methods of collecting his or her messages.
