Retaining Excel Formatting

Q1: When I paste Excel content into another file, I lose my formatting.
Excel formatting should be retained when worksheet cells or charts are pasted into your PowerPoint slides. If the pasted content looks different than the source content, however, consider these solutions:
  • Delete the pasted content and repeat the Copy and Paste procedure.

  • If you're using Paste Special to link the content to the PowerPoint slide, be sure that you choose the correct object type.

If neither of these options solves the problem, consider embedding an Excel object in the slide and pasting the content there. You'll be able to edit and format the content in its own application, negating the possibility of lost formatting. ...
