Displaying Messages

All the versions of VBA in the Office suite include three quick and easy ways to present messages to the user:

• A simple message box, which displays a message and an OK button. Typically, you would use a simple message box to notify the user of an action.

• A more complex message box, which has a message and includes two or three buttons (for example, Yes, No, Cancel), requiring the user to make a choice. These message boxes can come in handy if you can pose a simple question that can be answered in a Yes/No or Yes/No/Oops fashion.

• An input box, which also displays a message, and allows the user to type an answer. Use this type of box when you want the user to provide specific information rather than a Yes/No/Oops style answer. ...
