Time and Date Discrepancies

I entered a {Time} field in my document, but when I update it, the field displays a date.

To solve the problem, remove the \l switches in your {date} and {time} fields. If you don't understand how the \l switch works, bizarre consequences like this are nearly inevitable. If you use the Date and Time dialog box to insert a time in a document, all the {Time \l} fields will, when updated, show a time. If you then use the same dialog box to insert a date in your document, all the {Date \l} fields, when updated, will show a date.
