Customizing the Word Interface
Many components of the Word interface—menus, toolbars, keyboard shortcuts, and the like—work precisely the same way as the other Office applications.

In this section, you learn how to take control of features that are specific to Word.
Much of the rest of the way that Word works can be customized, as well. If you find that a specific "feature" in Word gets in your way, more often than not there's a simple check box that will disable the feature—or enable an alternative that might work better for you.
