64-Bit Windows

The current version of Windows 2000 is designed to run on 32-bit, Intel-based processors. Microsoft currently is working on a new version of Windows 2000 that is specifically designed to run on a 64-bit processor. Among other things, this will enable the capability to address much more RAM than currently possible.
