Whistler

Rumor has it that the project name for the next version of Windows is Whistler. Whistler probably will be an evolutionary change from Windows 2000, and the next version—Blackcomb—will fully integrate some of the massive changes that are envisioned with the .NET initiative. Although it is a little early in the game to be making hard predictions about this product, documents available on Microsoft's Web site lay out some specifications for Whistler.
