Introduction

Inter-site replication differs from intra-site replication not only because it occurs between sites instead of within a site. The primary distinguishing features are that replication between sites is compressed, can be scheduled, and is not based on a change notification.

As you look at inter-site replication, you might need to refer to Chapters 14, "Active Directory Sites," and 15, "Site Link Objects and Connection Objects," for reference.
