Creating a Child Domain

Creating a child domain is similar to creating a new tree because you still are creating a new AD container inside an existing forest. You start with dcpromo (see the Welcome and Domain Controller Type pages). In the Create Tree or Child Domain page, however, you choose the Create a New Child Domain in an Existing Domain Tree option, as shown in Figure 2.18.
