Creating a New Tree

In the previous section, you learned how to create a new forest, which is the beginning of an Active Directory implementation. In this section, you create a new tree in an existing forest. Usually, this is done because the namespaces don't match. The tree you create will still inherit a GC and schema from the root of the forest and will be connected to it by Kerberos transitive trusts.

In the previous walkthrough, you created the forest root domain. When you start the Active Directory Installation Wizard by executing dcpromo.exe on another server, you again see the welcome screen you saw in the earlier walkthrough.
