The Desktop Browser

When you start Mechanical Desktop, the Desktop Browser appears in a docked position at the left side of the your screen. This is where Mechanical Desktop keeps a hierarchy of the steps you have taken to produce either a part or an assembly (see Figure 25.3).

When you begin an assembly, Mechanical Desktop starts a new drawing in the Part/Assembly environment. The assembly is named after the current file.
