Introduction to Part VI
The two chapters in this section are dedicated to two AutoCAD-based, discipline-specific software products called Architectural Desktop and Mechanical Desktop. The intent of these chapters is to give you a basic idea of what these products have to offer. I will then point you to additional information and examples that can be applied to your own specific projects by using the trial versions of these products (included on the companion CD). Although covering both of these products in more detail is beyond the scope of this book, it is provided in this format to be a resource for those who are considering using either Architectural Desktop or Mechanical Desktop.
