Saving, Printing, and Exporting Rendered Models

To view your rendered image AutoCAD gives you three options:

  • Viewport

  • Render Window

  • File

When you render to a viewport, the image will appear with all the default render command settings. This is generally the option you would use to check out all the parameters you have set up for your image. In my opinion, it tends to render quicker to viewport so that's why I use it as my first pass.

I use the Render window to manipulate my rendered image to appear how I would like the printed copy to appear. When you go to the print option from the Render window, a small picture of your rendered image is displayed in the Print dialog box.
