Using Polylines in Three-Dimensional Space

Polylines can be created in three dimensions with the 3dpoly command, which cannot be done with the standard polyline command. The vertices of these polylines can have different x, y, and z coordinates, although they cannot have a width or thickness assigned to them as can two-dimensional polylines.

Using the Pedit command on three-dimensional polylines gives you a different set of options to work with than if you had selected a two-dimensional polyline. Options available for editing a three-dimensional polyline are Close, Edit Vertex, Spline Curve, Decurve, and Undo.
