To assist users of AutoCAD prior to AutoCAD 2000, and to ease their transition to the use of this software, several easy-to-use functions were bundled together into a package called the AutoCAD Migration Assistant. This product, which is included with AutoCAD 2000 but installed separately, contains nine tools that convert, analyze, and help the user upgrade their existing drawings, menus, toolbars, and AutoLISP routines to work with AutoCAD 2000. This appendix will aid you in determining what these tools are used for and to give you a brief explanation of how each one works, without having to load the software first.
