Set

The SET field places text in a bookmark. After the text is placed there, it appears anywhere a field refers to that bookmark.

Note

If you are creating SET fields as part of the mail merge process, choose Set Bookmark from the Insert Word Field button on the Mail Merge toolbar.

Syntax

{ SET bookmarkname "text" }

Switches

SET supports capitalization formatting switches (see the section earlier in this chapter, "Capitalization Formatting Switches").

Examples

To tell Word to create a bookmark named lincoln and insert the text "All men are created equal":

{ SET lincoln "All men are created equal" }
