Page

The PAGE field inserts the current page number. By default, PAGE uses the settings it finds for the current section in the Insert, Page Numbers dialog box. However, you can specify different settings using one of the listed formatting switches.

Note

Although you'll use the Header and Footer toolbar most frequently to insert page numbers in headers and footers, the PAGE field can insert them anywhere on the page.

Syntax
