Next

The NEXT field tells Word to move to the data file's next record, without automatically starting a new page. You can use this field to print lists, catalogs, and other sets of data without inserting page breaks between records.

Tip

You can often achieve the same result by choosing Catalog as the type of mail merge document you want to create in the Mail Merge Helper.

Note

Insert NEXT fields as part of the mail merge process by choosing Next Record from the Insert Word Field button on the Mail Merge toolbar.

Examples

To start a new address label, place a Next field before the name and date fields you used to create the label, as in the following example:

 { NEXT } { SALUTATION } { FIRSTNAME } { LASTNAME } { ...
