ListNum

The LISTNUM field inserts—within or at the beginning of paragraphs—a sequence of numbers that can automatically update.

Syntax

{ LISTNUM Name [Switches] }

Switches

LISTNUM switches correspond to the three "legacy" AUTONUM fields left over from earlier versions of Word:

Switch	What It Does
LegalDefault	Includes default legal numbering (equivalent to AUTONUMLGL).
NumberDefault	Includes default numbering (equivalent to AUTONUM).
OutlineDefault	Includes default outline numbering (equivalent to AUTONUMOUT).

In addition, LISTNUM includes two field-specific switches:

Switch	What It Does
\l	Specifies a level for the list.
\s	Specifies a start-at value for the list, overriding the default setting of 1.
