ListNum
The LISTNUM field inserts—within or at the beginning of paragraphs—a sequence of numbers that can automatically update.
Syntax
{ LISTNUM Name [Switches] }
Switches
LISTNUM switches correspond to the three "legacy" AUTONUM fields left over from earlier versions of Word:
Switch | What It Does |
---|---|
LegalDefault | Includes default legal numbering (equivalent to AUTONUMLGL). |
NumberDefault | Includes default numbering (equivalent to AUTONUM). |
OutlineDefault | Includes default outline numbering (equivalent to AUTONUMOUT). |
In addition, LISTNUM includes two field-specific switches:
Switch | What It Does |
---|---|
\l | Specifies a level for the list. |
\s | Specifies a start-at value for the list, overriding the default setting of 1. |
