IncludeText

The IncludeText field inserts another document, or part of another document marked with a bookmark.

Tip

IncludeText is often used to create a brief document that controls the printing of many large documents.

In some cases, you can achieve comparable results with more flexibility using Word's Master Documents feature.

Syntax

{ INCLUDETEXT "Filename" [Bookmark] [Switches] }

To include all the contents of another file, specify the filename. If the file is located in another directory, include the complete path, using double backslashes.

To include some of the contents of another file, first mark the material you want to include with a bookmark, and then add the bookmark's name to your field code.
