FillIn

The Fillin field prompts the user to insert text in a dialog box, and then inserts that text in the document. The FILLIN field is often used to personalize letters during mail merge, and to make it easier to fill in forms.

Syntax

{ FILLIN "prompttext" [Switches] }

Switches

SwitchWhat It Does
\dGives Word alternative text to insert if the user doesn't enter any text in the dialog box.
\oPrompts for bookmark text when you start to run a mail merge.

Examples

To present the user with the request "What would you like for breakfast?", enter the following field:

{ FILLIN "What would you like for breakfast?" }

To present the user with the same request, and display "Oatmeal" as the default choice, enter the following field:
