BarCode

The BarCode field inserts a postal bar code equivalent to a zip code you specify.

Tip

You'll often find it faster to create your bar codes through the Tools, Envelopes and Labels dialog box.

Syntax

{ BARCODE \u "LiteralText" }

or

{ BARCODE AddressBookmark \b }

Switches

\bTells Word to look for the named bookmark and use it as the zip code it needs.
\fAdds a Facing Identification Mark to your envelope. (Used for business reply mail.) Specify \f "A" for a FIM-A mark, or \f "C" for a FIM-C mark.
\uTells Word that the preceding text is a U.S. zip code.

Examples

To use the bookmark addresseezip as the zip code from which Word creates a postal bar code, insert the following field:

{ BARCODE addresseezip \b \u }
