Author

The Author field displays the name of the author, as specified in the Properties dialog box. (By default, the Properties dialog box uses the same information that is stored in the User Information tab of the Options dialog box.) If a "NewName" is included, Word displays the new name rather than the current name, and enters that name in the Properties dialog box.

Syntax

{ AUTHOR "NewName"}

Switches

AUTHOR supports capitalization switches (see the section earlier in this chapter, "Capitalization Formatting Switches").

Examples

The following field displays the name Bob Smith in ALL CAPS, and enters the name in the Properties dialog box:

{ AUTHOR "Bob Smith" \* Upper }
