General Switches Available in Word Fields
Many fields utilize general switches, which fall into four categories:
Capitalization formatting switches. These switches specify the case of text that should be placed in the document (all caps or lowercase, for example).
Sequence formatting switches. These switches specify the sequence Word should use for a set of numbers (1, 2, 3, for example).
Numeric picture switches. These switches specify how Word should format values (0.01%, for example).
Date/time picture switches. These switches specify how Word should format dates and times (M/d/yy, for example).
