Fixing Setup Problems

Thanks to Windows Installer, Word 2000 Setup is a far more robust process than in previous Word versions. A "rollback" option, for example, tracks the actions of the Setup program as it works. If you click the Cancel button in the middle of the process, Setup uses this feature to undo any Registry changes or delete any files you've copied so far. If Setup is interrupted for any other reason—by a system crash or power failure, for example—you should be able to restart Setup and resume at the place where it stopped previously.
