Network Management Tools

Windows 95 includes several useful tools that help you learn about and manage your peer-to-peer network. Although network management is a very broad term, management tools simply allow you to see how your network is functioning and to change almost everything about the entire network from your own computer. You can use these network management tools to enable or disable sharing of resources, add or delete passwords, disconnect users, and so on.

When you look at network management as being a series of toggle switches, with one switch for each possible setting on each possible resource, management tools become less mysterious. The trick is knowing how to set each parameter for optimum network efficiency.
