Using Custom Print Managers and Utilities

Windows 95 provides a standard platform that other vendors use to create software drivers and applications. These custom software packages integrate a specific product with Windows. As a result, many printer vendors work with Microsoft to create new drivers. Some vendors have created printing applications that can substitute for or replace the Windows Printer Driver. Many printer vendors provide custom property configuration utilities for accessing their printers'custom features. Two of these vendors are Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC).
