Sharing a Drive

To create a shared drive, make sure that the File and Print Sharing dialog box in the Network dialog box has I Want to be Able to Give Others Access to My Files enabled and that you have selected the desired access control method in the Access Control sheet (see Chapter 42, "Network Management and Security," if you're uncertain how to do this). Then do the following:

Open the My Computer window or launch the Windows Explorer. Select the local drive or folder you want to share.

Note

Any storage device attached to the workstation and mounted as a drive letter can be shared with other network users.
