Faxing a Quick Message or a File

You can also send a quick text message, or "fax" a file. This method lets you type a quick note (you cannot format the note) or transmit a file attached to the fax using the BFT fax technology. If you want to do more—such as send a nicely formatted fax message, put pictures inside it, or fax from your word processor—see "Sending a More Complete Message," later in this chapter. In the main Exchange window, choose Compose, New Fax. The Compose Fax Wizard appears.

Tip

A quick way to fax a file from within Explorer is to right-click the file and select Send To, Fax Recipient.

The wizard first verifies the location from which you are sending the message, as shown in Figure 28.4
