Running Installed MS-DOS Applications

Windows comes set up with a default MS-DOS Prompt configuration designed to run the vast majority of applications. Although your application may have special needs, odds are it will work fine if you start it from within a running MS-DOS Prompt session.

To start your application from an MS-DOS Prompt session, follow these steps:

1.
Open a new MS-DOS Prompt session from the Start menu.
2.
At the MS-DOS Prompt, enter the command to move to the folder of the program you want to start (for example, cd \wp60) and press Enter. The MS-DOS Prompt now shows the current folder, as shown in Figure 26.22.
