Customizing Explorer's Appearance

Like most parts of Windows, Explorer contains a wide array of customization options.

Changing the Width of Panes

To change the proportions of the two panes when using Windows Explorer, point to the vertical dividing line between the panes. When the pointer changes to a two-headed arrow, click and drag in either direction. Release the mouse button when the panes are the desired size.
