How to Start Programs and Open Documents
Microsoft has made it much easier to start programs with Windows 95 than it was in previous versions of Windows. Depending on your experience level and the task, you can start programs or documents in different ways.
Starting from the Start Menu
Clicking the Start button displays a menu like the one shown in Figure 9.2. Notice the small arrows to the right of some menu items; as you move the pointer over these menu items, a new menu appears to the right. Follow these cascading menus until you see the program or document you want to open and then click it.
