When I use the Add New Hardware Wizard, it fails to detect a device upgrade for an unsupported device. What am I doing wrong? If you have upgraded a sound card or other device that uses Windows 3.1 drivers, the new sound card may not be detected by the Add New Hardware Wizard. This occurs because Windows 95 is still seeing the reference to the older card's 16-bit drivers in the SYSTEM.INI file. To resolve the problem, you must go into SYSTEM.INI with a text editor, such as NOTEPAD.EXE, and remove the lines referring to the 16-bit drivers. Run the ...
