Determining the Current Version of Windows

How can you tell which version of Windows 95 is installed on a given system? Right-click the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop and choose Properties. Look at the information under the System heading on the General tab—if OSR2 is installed, the version number for Windows 95 appears as 4.00.950 B, as shown in Figure 2.6. If there is no letter after the 950 identifier, the original release of Windows 95 is installed; 950 A indicates that Service Pack 1 has been installed.
