Using Databases Connected by ODBC

After you add the SQL Server database as a user, system, or file data source, you can link, import, or export tables in the SQL Server database to your Access database, depending on the permissions granted by SQL Server to your SQL Server account. If you have full permissions for the database, you can use tables attached from the client/server database in the same manner that you use attached Access, dBASE, FoxPro, or Paradox tables. You don't specify primary key indexes to be used with client/server tables because primary key indexes are opened automatically when you open the table for which indexes have been created, just as with Access tables.
