Comparing ANSI and Jet SQL

Jet SQL doesn't include many of the approximately 100 keywords incorporated in the ANSI standard for SQL. Few, if any, commercial SQL-compliant RDBMSes for the PC implement much more than half of the standard SQL keywords. The majority of the common SQL keywords missing from Jet's implementation are provided by the expressions you create with operators, built-in functions, or user-defined functions you write in Access VBA. The effect of many unsupported ANSI SQL keywords related to tables is achieved by making selections from Access's Database window or from menus.
