Updating Access 97 with Office 97 Service Release 1

Office 97 Service Release 1, which became available in July 1997, consists of he following components:

  • Access Snapshot Technology lets you distribute Access 97 reports as files or e-mail attachments without having to make the source database accessible to users. You create Snapshot (.snp) files in Rich Text Format (RTF) with an Access add-in. Users need the redistributable Snapshot Viewer to display the report.
