Chapter 23. Fill the Void

Peter explained, "These are uncertain times for your people. They are wondering what's going to happen next. They're questioning how their job will be impacted. They're confused about what action to take. Unfortunately, this uncertainly creates a void in communication, and where there is a void, negativity will fill it."

Grandma added, "It's the same with marriages. Marriages go downhill when communication breaks down. Relationships fall apart when there is a lack of communication. That's because where there is a void of clear and positive communication, we start to assume the worst and act accordingly. Fear and negativity creep in and dominate our thoughts, behavior, and actions."

"This leads to a lack of trust, which leads to a lack of focus, teamwork, and success," Peter said. "Instead of taking positive actions to thrive, we go into survival mode and just try to survive. You must focus on building trust through frequent positive communication so that fear can't breed and grow. Communication builds trust, and trust conquers fear." Peter then wrote on a napkin:
