We now turn our attention to the acoustics of the Celebratory church. In Chapter 6 we briefly covered the second Vatican Council or Vatican II. Vatican II marks a significant turning point in the Catholic church, which of course is reflected in the architecture of Catholic churches built after 1963. The other main celebratory churches, the Episcopal and the Orthodox, did not go through such sweeping reforms so there tends to be a bit more consistency in the architecture of these churches.
