The Art of Troubleshooting — Thinking Logically and Linearly
I never will forget the lesson I learned on the first sound system I ever installed. I had a buzz in a single 70 V speaker and just couldn’t figure it out. I was jumping all over the place trying to solve the problem, but nothing worked. This was one of the opportunities in my life for my father to pass on wisdom that taught me a valuable lesson.
On this particular day, my father taught me how to troubleshoot. I was having a conversation with him about the project, and I told him that I just couldn’t make this speaker stop buzzing. He asked me what I had done, and as I explained it to him, he looked at me with a grin and said, “You need to learn how to troubleshoot.”
