22  MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface)

This is a serial interface with start and stop bits at the beginning and end of each byte transmitted. The MIDI standard specifies a baud rate of 31.25 k. (The baud rate is the maximum number of bits per second.) A tolerance of ± 1 per cent is specified for the clock frequency.
