Here are some examples of thrifty thinking that will save you money relatively painlessly, and then some ideas that will show you where being thrifty is a false economy.

  • Take a list when you go grocery shopping and stick to it. It helps not to shop when you’re hungry because there’s a real danger that you end up buying more than you need.
