Objectives
This chapter starts with a brief discussion on the importance of a backup strategy then looks at how a backup can be taken on a Solaris system. As well as looking at the commands that are available, we will discuss the merits of each and look at the different types of backups (e.g., compressed, incremental, etc).
The chapter ends with a look at the backup script we have written to back up our servers.
