Automating Installation with JumpStart

The JumpStart feature provides a mechanism to automatically install the Solaris operating system. The two JumpStart methods are JumpStart and Custom JumpStart.

Not only does JumpStart automate installation, it can be used to automate the installation of large numbers of systems that are identically configured. If you need to install hundreds of systems using the same configuration, JumpStart provides a way to simplify this task.
