Solstice DiskSuite

Solstice DiskSuite is a software product that can be used to increase storage capacity and data availability and, in some cases, to increase performance. DiskSuite uses virtual disks, called metadevices, to manage the physical disks. A metadevice is a collection of one or more physical disk slices or partitions. You can use the basic disk-management commands, except the format command, with metadevices. In general, metadevices can be thought of as slices or partitions.
