printmgr — Graphical User interface for Managing Printers in a Network

Synopsis

/usr/sadm/admin/bin/printmgr

Description

The printmgr command is new in the Solaris 8 release. Use the printmgr command to start the Solaris Print Manager, which has a Java-based graphical user interface that enables you to manage local and remote printer access. You can use this tool in the following nameservice environments.

  • NIS.

  • NIS+.

  • NIS+ with Federated Naming Service (FNS).

  • files.

You must be logged in as superuser to use this tool.
