Description

The mount -F xmemfs command is new in the Solaris 8 release. xmemfs is an IA extended-memory file system that provides file-system semantics to manage and access large amounts of physical memory that can exceed 4 Gbytes in size.

Use the mount command to attach an xmemfs file system to the file-system hierarchy at the path-name location mount-point, which must already exist. If mount-point has any contents before the mount operation, these remain hidden until the file system is once again unmounted. ...
