devfree Release Devices from Exclusive Use

Synopsis

/bin/devfree key [device...]

Description

Use the devfree command to release devices from exclusive use. You request exclusivity with the devreserv command.

When you invoke devfree with only the key argument, it releases all devices that have been reserved for that key. When called with key and device arguments, devfree releases the specified devices that have been reserved with that key.

Note

As of this writing, the devfree and devreserv commands do not work.
